Job summary

UW-Stout Polytechnic’s Learning and Information Technology Department seeks a Business Analyst to perform business process analyses, develop functional specifications, and support enterprise technology solutions including AI tools for faculty and staff.

You will focus on reporting, workflow automation, and integration across SharePoint, Tableau, and BP Logix, collaborating with campus stakeholders to improve decision-making and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or related field.
• Experience in business analysis including requirements gathering and process documentation.
• Experience with reporting, data analysis, or enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting, user support, and training documentation.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives via research and fact-finding.
• Analyzes needs to design, develop, and support reports and workflows.
• Partner with departments to apply reporting, workflow automation, and AI tools.
• Translates requirements into functional specs aligned with data structures.
• Develops, tests, and maintains reports, workflows, and integrations across systems.
• Provides operational support and user training for reporting, workflow, and AI tools.
• Evaluates AI technologies and supports adoption in teaching and admin tasks.
• Supports system performance, data integrity, and security; participates in process improvements.
