Job summary

Liquid Development, a top independent studio, seeks a skilled Technical Artist to join the team working with Unreal Engine 5 to craft complex materials and VFX for AAA titles. You will collaborate with artists and engineers to deliver high-quality assets for characters, weapons and environments.

In this fully remote role, you will mentor peers, develop reusable tools, and contribute to workflow improvements across the art team, enabling efficient asset creation for large-scale game worlds.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of technical art experience in Unreal Engine 5 with Blueprints.
• Ability to create art for visual effects (FX concept, proto and final FX).
• Proficiency with industry tools such as Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Houdini or Substance Painter.

Responsibilities

• Create complex materials for characters, weapons, environments, and large world pieces.
• Support blueprint management and setup for interactable items and gameplay elements.
• Establish workflows and tools for artists to use Unreal Engine 5 assets.
