Job summary

Hardsuit Labs is seeking a Mid to Senior Technical Artist to bridge artistic vision and technical execution in Unreal Engine 5. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to optimize workflows and push visuals across platforms.

The ideal candidate has deep understanding of the 3D art pipeline, strong math skills, and the ability to maintain peak performance from AAA to mobile.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of lighting, color theory, composition and PBR rendering standards.
• Experience texturing for games using Photoshop and Substance Suite.
• Proficiency with UE5 Blueprint scripting and data‑driven systems.
• Detail‑oriented with troubleshooting, profiling and debugging complex art tech issues.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline & workflow optimization: define and enforce technical standards for in‑game art assets.
• Visual development & shaders: create optimized materials and real‑time effects with Niagara FX.
• Terrain & procedural workflows: build landscapes and enable procedural world building.
• Performance & rendering: balance UE5 features with optimization for mobile platforms.
• Cross‑discipline collaboration: liaison between art, design and engineering.
