Job summary

Fortune Brands Home & Security is seeking a Lead Technical Accountant in a hybrid role based in Deerfield, IL. You will manage accounting and reporting of technical matters including leases, employee benefits, derivatives, and debt, ensuring strong US GAAP expertise and SOX compliance.

The position requires CPA, 7+ years of experience, and collaboration with Treasury and business units. You will prepare 10-Q/10-K disclosures and lead continuous process improvements for monthly/quarterly closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience including technical accounting.
• CPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review lease agreements to determine accounting treatment and record lease data.
• Collaborate with business units for accurate monthly lease accounting entries.
• Manage accounting and reporting for pension and other postretirement benefits.
