Job summary

A leading finance firm in New York is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting. This high-impact role requires deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and corporate close processes. The ideal candidate will oversee the corporate close process, prepare financial statements, and advise leadership on strategic transactions. Candidates must have a CPA and at least eight years of accounting experience. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and flexible compensation package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• 5+ years of Technical Accounting experience (CECL, Leases, Rev Rec, Business combinations).
• Experience in Public Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret new accounting standards issued by regulatory bodies.
• Oversee corporate close process and conduct month-end close activities.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and related disclosures.
• Lead training sessions for accounting policy updates.
• Compile financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Advise on accounting implications of strategic transactions.
