Job summary

Enerpac Tool Group Corp. is seeking a Technical Accounting Lead to join the Global Controllership team. You will research, document, and communicate accounting conclusions under U.S. GAAP and assist with complex transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures.

You will partner across Finance and the organization, support external reporting, and help maintain accurate disclosures. Collaboration with auditors and adherence to standards are key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• At least five years in accounting, auditing, technical accounting, or related fields.
• Public accounting experience, preferably Big Four, is strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, internal controls, and accounting research.
• Experience documenting complex accounting matters and supporting strategic transactions.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and guidance.
• Evaluate global accounting matters, including IFRS, and differences with U.S. GAAP.
• Develop clear technical memoranda for senior leadership and external auditors.
• Communicate accounting conclusions to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and lead implementation of standards.
• Lead consultations with external accounting firms and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and governance for U.S. GAAP compliance.
• Partner with Global Finance on ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 326 matters.
• Lead reviews of open technical matters and report impacts to leadership.
• Support month-end/quarter-end close and external reporting processes.
• Draft disclosures and ensure tie-outs to supporting records.
• Coach and mentor team members through feedback and guidance.
