Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington seeks an experienced professional to evaluate IP disclosures and conduct market research to identify potential partners for university technologies. You will develop marketing summaries for licensing discussions and assist with deal valuation and term sheets, while coordinating interns and presenting results to the director.

Responsibilities include preparing technology assessments, maintaining passive marketing channels, and engaging with industry partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science field and five years of knowledge and experience in intellectual property, management of processes and training of employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work with interns and licensing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate disclosed technology for patentability and market potential with interns and licensing staff.
  • Prepare technology assessment and non-confidential marketing summaries highlighting novelty and advantages.
  • Maintain marketing channels (Flintbox, In-Part) and connect with industry partners through marketing communications.
  • Assist with valuation of licensing deals and preparation of term sheets; participate in negotiations.
  • Plan and coordinate interns' work and present project results to the director.
