Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field from an accredited university.
• Two years of IP management and commercialization experience, including inventor disclosure facilitation and managing patent attorney relationships.
• Experience in negotiating licenses in science/engineering/biomedical/health IP or, with a Master's degree, one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts prior art searches, patentability and marketability studies, and evaluates new technologies.
• Promotes new technologies to potential licensees globally and writes public promotional materials.
• Negotiates license agreements and monitors compliance; maintains relationships with researchers, licensees, and investors.
• Drafts agreements and contracts; edits web pages using Cascade and similar tools.
• Provides training and outreach programs to faculty and students; serves as primary contact for IP questions.
