Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington seeks a licensed technology transfer professional to evaluate IP disclosures for patentability and market potential, and to conduct market research to identify potential partners for university technologies. You will develop marketing summaries, assist with deal valuation and term sheets, and participate in licensing negotiations.

You will coordinate interns and present results to the director, and attend technical conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, or life science and five years in intellectual property.
• Master’s degree in science and/or business preferred, with IP transfer experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate disclosed technology for patentability and market potential.
• Prepare non-confidential marketing summaries for partners.
• Assist with deal valuation and term sheets for licensing.
• Coordinate interns and report results to the director.
• Maintain passive marketing channels (Flintbox, In-Part).
• Support licensing negotiations and engage with industry partners.
