Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of professional experience drafting, editing, and preparing patent prosecution documents.
• Knowledge of federal intellectual property law and policies.
• Knowledge of procedures and regulations of the patent prosecution process.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
• Ability to conduct research and analysis for aid program development.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

Responsibilities

• Review invention disclosure information and draft administrative and IP documentation.
• Monitor IP databases for accuracy and deadlines.
• Assist in preparing patent prosecution documents and related filings.
• Support researchers and licensing staff in IP protection efforts.
