Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith seeks an IT Support Specialist to deliver first-level technical assistance for employees, devices, printers, and collaboration systems across offices. You will respond to requests, troubleshoot hardware and software, and document steps in the ticketing system.

You will install and maintain Windows and Mac workstations, manage Microsoft 365 applications, and assist with onboarding, device deployment, and basic security practices, while delivering excellent internal service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of help desk or desktop support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows and Mac with Microsoft 365.
• Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain PCs, mobile devices, printers, peripherals.
• Basic networking knowledge: Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN.
• Understanding of data confidentiality and endpoint protection.
• Able to explain technical details to non‑technical staff.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
• Excellent time management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support in person, by phone, and via ticketing/remote tools.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and Mac computers, printers, and mobile devices.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system with accurate notes.
• Support Microsoft 365 productivity apps and basic software troubleshooting.
• Assist with onboarding, workstation setup, and access requests.
• Escalate complex issues and follow up until resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and service requests.
• Support video conferencing and room technology; assist with remote meetings.
