Job summary

California State University, Chico's Office of Information Technology in Stanislaus - Turlock is seeking a Staff IT Specialist to diagnose and resolve moderately complex technology issues, support classroom AV systems, and assist with streaming and live events. You will manage tickets in TeamDynamix, assist faculty and students with instructional technology, and contribute to documentation and training.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree may substitute for experience.
Two years of relevant experience; substitutions allowed year-for-year.
Experience with audiovisual, broadcast, streaming and related multimedia tech.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support to internal users of computer applications and hardware.
Analyze and resolve complex hardware and software issues for computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices and other tech.
Provide Support Desk support for students, staff and faculty.
Generate Warrior Cards for students, staff and faculty.
Support campus events including NSO, NSAR, livestreaming, mobile broadcast support and related AV event technologies.
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues including VPNs.
Escalate issues to support teams as needed.
Support AV tech and workstations in classrooms and learning spaces; assist Learning Services with broadcasting, streaming, and networking audio.
Install, configure, update software/firmware, maintain systems, document changes, troubleshoot AV/broadcast technologies.
Update tickets in TeamDynamix and maintain Property Database for IT equipment.
Evaluate tech needs in classrooms/labs; develop training materials for tools and best practices.
Lead small tech support projects for audiovisual, mobile broadcast, streaming, and networking audio environments.
Develop standardized equipment/app configurations to support pedagogy and classroom formats.
Provide guidance to departments on procurement/deployment of tech equipment including AV systems.
Work with endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune, JAMF).
May obtain additional training/certifications as needed.
May support other areas as needed.
