Job summary

California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock is seeking a Staff IT specialist to diagnose and resolve moderately complex technology issues, manage small projects, and guide users across campus.

You'll provide support for classroom technology, campus events, and AV systems, maintain documentation, and collaborate with departments to meet technology needs while supporting faculty and students on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree may substitute experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience required; additional experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve moderately complex technology issues; manage small projects; guide users.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support to internal users of computer applications and hardware.
• Analyze and resolve complex hardware and software issues including laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Provide Help Desk support involving students, staff and faculty.
• Generate Warrior Cards for Students, staff and faculty.
• Provide technical support for campus events including NSO, NSAR, livestreaming, and related AV event technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues including VPNs.
• Escalate technical issues to support teams as necessary.
• Support AV technology and workstations in classrooms, conference rooms, and learning spaces.
