Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support at our Austin store. You’ll assess needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on more complex repairs.

We provide training and resources to help you explain options, set expectations and deliver friendly, reliable service while keeping product knowledge current. This is a part-time role with benefits including employee discounts.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout processes.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking notes and providing accurate next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on repairing or replacing old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge through certified training courses.
• Communicate clearly and partner with fellow agents.
