Job summary

Micro Center is seeking a motivated Service Experience Advisor in Houston to be the customer’s first contact for technical service. You will blend basic technical understanding with strong interpersonal skills to guide service intake, explain options, and build trust in the repair process at the Knowledge Bar.

This entry-level role welcomes candidates from sales, hospitality, or customer service backgrounds who are eager to learn.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior technical experience required.
• Strong preference for candidates with customer-facing commissioned sales, hospitality or retail experience.
• Ability to build rapport and explain services clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the trusted contact for walk-in or scheduled customers at the Knowledge Bar.
• Listen actively and guide customers through service solutions and offerings.
• Recommend value-added services like PriorityCare+, Data Backup and ESET in a consultative manner.
• Clearly communicate estimated pricing, timelines, and expectations at check-in.
• Assist in basic troubleshooting and route work orders to service queues.
• Process service and POS transactions accurately and completely.
• Maintain attachment rates and productivity standards.
• Stay informed of promotions and attachment opportunities.
• Provide timely, professional updates on service status.
• Obtain required certifications as directed by management.
• Keep workspace clean, organized, and customer-ready.
