Job summary

Micro Center in Columbus, OH is seeking a Service Experience Advisor, an entry-level role blending basic technical understanding with strong interpersonal skills to guide service intake and propose solutions, ensuring customer confidence in the repair process.

You will be the first contact at the Knowledge Bar, handling walk-ins and appointments, explaining pricing and timelines, assisting with troubleshooting, and promoting services such as PriorityCare+, Data Backup, and ESET.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• No prior technical experience required
• Strong preference for candidates with customer-facing commissioned sales, hospitality, or retail experience
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport, earn trust, and explain services clearly and professionally

Responsibilities

• Serve as the trusted point of contact for walk-in or scheduled customers at the Knowledge Bar
• Listen actively to customer concerns and guide them through appropriate service solutions and offerings
• Recommend value-added services such as PriorityCare+, Data Backup, ESET, and other products in a consultative manner
• Clearly communicate estimated pricing, timelines, and expectations at check-in
• Assist in basic troubleshooting and route work orders to the appropriate service queues
• Process service and point-of-sale transactions accurately and completely
• Maintain minimum attachment rates and productivity standards
• Stay informed of current promotions and attachment opportunities
• Provide timely, professional updates to customers regarding service status
