Job summary

Micro Center is seeking a Service Experience Advisor in Houston to greet customers at the Knowledge Bar, assess service needs, and guide them to appropriate solutions. The role blends basic technical understanding with strong customer service and sales skills to build trust and a high-quality service experience.

You will communicate pricing and timelines, assist with basic troubleshooting, and process transactions while staying informed about promotions and attachments.

Qualifications

• No prior technical experience required; entry-level role.
• Strong preference for candidates with customer-facing commissioned sales, hospitality, or retail experience.
• Ability to build rapport, earn trust, and explain services clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for walk-in or scheduled customers at the Knowledge Bar.
• Listen actively to customer concerns and guide them through service solutions.
• Recommend value-added services such as PriorityCare+, Data Backup, ESET, and other offerings.
• Clearly communicate estimated pricing, timelines, and expectations at check-in.
• Assist in basic troubleshooting and route work orders to service queues.
• Process service and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
• Maintain attachment rates and productivity standards.
• Stay informed of promotions and attachment opportunities.
• Provide timely, professional updates to customers about service status.
• Obtain required certifications as directed by management.
• Keep workspace clean and customer-ready.
