Job summary

Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an Activities Assistant (PRN/Days weekends) to plan and run engaging, person-centered programs for residents. You will guide residents in using devices, connect to Wi‑Fi, and support their participation in therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of techniques, procedures, and equipment used in activity programming.
• Ability to create engaging resident-centered activities and adapt to needs.
• Familiarity with recreational therapy concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement person-centered programs for residents.
• Create and manage weekly and monthly activity schedules.
• Evaluate programs to reflect residents' backgrounds and abilities.
• Provide one-to-one activities for residents not engaging in groups.
• Supervise volunteers for in-house activities and outings.
