Job summary

Scientific Games in the United States is seeking a seasoned Technical Operations Engineer to join a 24x7 operations team supporting lottery solutions. You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Development, and Testing teams to triage issues, implement fixes, and drive upgrades across Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS and WildFly environments.

The role requires 5+ years of system administration in high-availability environments, strong Windows expertise, SQL Server with AlwaysOn, and familiarity

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a system administration role in a high-demand, highly available environment.
  • SME level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server with a focus on administration, configuration, and diagnostics.
  • Basic skills with Ubuntu Linux; command line, Bash scripting, basic configurations.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server, including AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
  • Knowledge of SFTP, SSH, SMTP, DNS, and HTTP/S protocols; certificate management.
  • Strong communication, presentation and documentation skills; teamwork oriented.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 2 support for critical lottery platforms and customer solutions.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting availability and performance.
  • Monitor capacity and plan capacity growth with stakeholders.
  • Address security concerns and ensure compliance with SLAs.
  • Document processes and maintain knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
