Job summary

Scientific Games is hiring a Data Center Technician for a 24x7 operations team. The role rotates 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am for seven days on, seven days off, handling 1st/2nd line support for servers, databases and applications.

You will monitor Windows Server and Linux systems, use ticketing systems, and assist with troubleshooting and nightly processing. On-the-job training will support SGI’s proprietary system.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in a 24x7 data center environment.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support by troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving most incidents.
• Operates and monitors Windows Server and Linux based systems using established procedures.
• Monitor production environment and troubleshoot critical issues and escalation, if needed.
• Utilizes incident management ticketing systems to report and document issues.
• Communicate via phone and electronic notification for escalation of major issues and critical events.
• Initiate and assist on troubleshooting conference calls.
• Completes shift checklists and status reports as required.
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting.
• Perform system processing utilizing established tools and procedures.
• Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance from Lottery customers via email and/or inbound calls.
