Job summary

Scientific Games, LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to maintain and support 24x7 real-time transaction processing platforms. The role focuses on stability, performance, and reliability, with on-call duties and cross-functional collaboration to resolve incidents and optimize systems.

Ideal candidates will have strong Bash/Ansible scripting, Ubuntu Linux expertise, PostgreSQL experience, and Python automation capabilities, plus familiarity with VMware, SAN, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Bash scripting and Ansible for automation and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Ubuntu Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database queries and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware) and SAN storage solutions.
• Minimum 2 years in a Tier2 or equivalent technical support role.
• Excellent communication and ability to document technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier1–Tier2 production support for real-time processing platforms.
• On-call support in a 24x7 rotation for production systems.
• Perform system monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Automate tasks and integrations to提升 efficiency with Bash, Ansible, and Python.
• Collaborate with Tier3, QA, and development teams; maintain docs and status updates.
