CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services team in Illinois. You will oversee GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting to support client operations and strategic decisions.

The role requires 7 years of Controller experience, a bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with key accounting software. CPA preferred but not required; travel is primarily local to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; combination of related experience may be accepted.
• 7 years of relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent.
• Accounting back-office experience required.
• Technology industry experience highly preferred; public accounting experience a plus.
• Aptitude for accounting software and systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Responsabilités

• Develop full knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and deep understanding of the technology industry’s financials.
• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investments for all or part of an organization.
• Prepare financial information and statements; forecast and report to regulatory bodies as needed.
• Support or lead preparation of business activity reports and budgets.
