Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Needham, MA is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors to teach water safety and help families enjoy the pool. This part-time role offers $17-$19 per hour, with paid training and opportunities for advancement within a supportive team.

Hours: minimum of 2 shifts per week, each 3–6 hours. Certifications (lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid) are encouraged; training provided if not yet certified.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified).

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children using Goldfish's proven play-based curriculum.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress.
• Maintain pool safety.
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

Hours Required: Minimum of 2 shifts/week (shift length ranging from 3-6 hrs/day)

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months -12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum
• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
