- Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse operational activities under the Operations Supervisor
- Oversee associates dedicated to warehousing, receiving, and shipping
- Mentor and train new and existing associates on distribution activities and Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist with forklift operation and certification
- Coordinate inbound unloading, product stacking, outbound picking, and shipment staging
- Verify inbound/outbound paperwork and product counts
- Load orders according to appropriate doors and trailers
- Process shipping, receiving, and picking functions according to SOPs
- Research shipping and receiving discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with customers by phone, electronically, or in person
- Prepare activity reports for site management
- Perform quality control checks, report damages and discrepancies, and stack, package, shrink-wrap, and label products
- Report inconsistencies and problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Participate in quality, department, and safety meetings
- Execute safety protocols and maintain warehouse cleanliness, orderliness, and security
- Direct warehouse work-team operations and assist with productivity and payroll-hour records
- Participate in work-schedule development and ensure effective job assignments and completion
- Operate and maintain material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Inspect equipment daily, perform minor maintenance, and report equipment problems
- Perform or assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as answering telephones, scheduling, greeting visitors, filing, and record keeping
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- Able to operate MHE
- Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
- Basic computer skills

- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and related duties
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all levels of the organization
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21-50 pounds
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to work overtime as dictated by business needs
- Active forklift certification
- Preferred: 2-4 years' experience in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
- Preferred: 2-4 years' proven forklift experience
- Preferred: current or prior MHE certification
