Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
  • Forklift training/ certification required.
  • Able to operate MHE and RF scanners.
  • Knowledge of WMS functions.
  • Good English reading/writing/verbal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse operational activities.
  • Oversee associates handling warehousing, receiving, and shipping activities.
  • Mentor and train new and existing associates on distribution activities and SOPs.
  • Assist with forklift operation and certification.
  • Coordinate inbound unloading, product stacking, outbound picking, and staging.
  • Verify inbound/outbound paperwork and product counts.
  • Load orders according to assigned doors/trailers.
  • Research shipping/receiving discrepancies.
  • Communicate with customers by phone, electronically, or in person.
  • Prepare accurate activity reports for site management.
  • Perform quality control checks, including product verification, packaging, shrink wrapping, labeling, and discrepancy reporting.
  • Report inconsistencies to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
  • Participate in quality and safety meetings.
  • Execute safety protocols and maintain warehouse cleanliness and security.
  • Direct warehouse work-team operations and assist with productivity and payroll-hour records.
  • Participate in work-schedule creation and ensure effective job assignments.
  • Initiate and report corrective actions for product, process, and quality-system nonconformities.
  • Operate, inspect, and perform minor maintenance on forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
  • Perform or assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as telephones, scheduling, filing, and record keeping.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience working in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
  • Able to operate material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Basic computer skills
  • RF scanner skills
  • WMS functions knowledge
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds
  • Ability to walk and stand constantly, bend frequently, and reach, squat, or kneel
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed and work mandatory or voluntary overtime
  • Maintain an active forklift certification
