Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead sales-floor execution, coaching teammates, and delivering an athlete-first shopping experience. You will manage priorities, drive merchandising standards, and ensure a high level of customer engagement across departments.

Responsibilities include developing staffing plans, overseeing front-end operations, and maintaining policy compliance while motivating the team to achieve store goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by providing clear, accurate information about products and assortment.
• Lead 30-60-90 day plans with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to support business priorities.
• Develop schedules and allocate workload to maximize efficiency while meeting payroll goals.
• Build and lead a strong team, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
