DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking a Team Captain – Endzone & Loyalty to lead the athlete experience on the store floor and drive engagement in loyalty programs and services. You will deliver fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences while building strong athlete relationships.

The role emphasizes coaching teammates, scheduling, and achieving department goals with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating needs and providing clear, accurate product information.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards with floor sets, signage, price changes, and inventory listing.
• Promote and lead company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, private label enrollment).
• Contribute to development of 30-60-90 day plans with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager for department priorities.
• Create working plans for staffing, budgeting, and merchandising initiatives within budgets and goals.
• Execute plans with independent judgment and adjust as needed for plan effectiveness.
• When leader in store, act as Head Coach with opening/closing, Front End and Cash Office duties.
• Communicate goals and workload to direct reports; optimize schedules and productivity.
• Monitor progress and pivot to meet payroll and financial targets while maintaining athlete support.
• Lead sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention of direct reports in oversight areas.
• Provide training, coaching, feedback, recognition, and performance management throughout staff lifecycle.
