Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans. You will review medical records, perform thorough assessments, and complete VA-required DBQs with each evaluation.

No prescribing or ongoing patient management is required, but you will produce detailed, objective reports and ensure compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
