Job summary
DirectShifts is seeking a board-certified physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension evaluations. The role involves reviewing veterans' medical records, conducting detailed C&P examinations, and completing VA-required DBQs with precise, well-documented reports.
The position requires an MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, and an active unrestricted medical license.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree required.
- Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
- Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
- Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
- Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
- Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
- Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
