Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking physicians to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations for Veterans. You will review medical records, perform detailed evaluations, and complete VA-required documentation without providing ongoing patient management.

The role emphasizes high-quality medical reporting, strict adherence to VA and HIPAA standards, and coordination with clinical teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R (Physiatry).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practice state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
