Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations and review Veterans' medical records prior to evaluations. You will assess cognitive, emotional, and physical residuals related to TBI and complete VA DBQs accurately.

Role requires MD/DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R and an active license. Flexible scheduling, no on-call, and strong administrative support are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
