Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations, reviewing medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations. The role involves assessing cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI and completing VA DBQs accurately.

The physician will prepare timely, objective medical reports and ensure compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
