Job summary

DirectShifts in Indiana seeks a physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury C&P evaluations, review medical records, and prepare VA-compliant reports. No prescribing or ongoing patient management is required.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, maintain HIPAA compliance, and ensure timely submission of evaluations. Requires MD or DO and board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, plus an active Indiana license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted license in Indiana.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
