Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations for Veterans in the United States. You will review medical records, perform detailed cognitive and functional assessments, and complete VA-required documentation without providing treatment or follow-up care.

The role emphasizes precise reporting, adherence to VA/HIPAA standards, and collaboration with clinical teams. Flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) is offered, with administrative support provided.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree required.
Board-certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
Active, unrestricted license in the practicing state.
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations.
Review veterans' medical records, imaging, and documents.
Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals.
Complete VA DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
Maintain compliance with VA, HIPAA and regulations.
Collaborate with teams to ensure timely submissions.
