Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension evaluations and prepare comprehensive reports. The role requires reviewing records, completing VA DBQs, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and regulations.

The candidate must hold MD or DO, and be board certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry with an active state license. No ongoing patient management and no prescribing duties are involved.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board Certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.
