Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Technology Implementations to own the planning and execution of indirect tax programs across multiple domains and brands. Based on the East Coast hours, translate indirect tax requirements into engineering work and maintain a consolidated plan that guides Tax and Engineering leadership.

You will influence partner teams to ensure a trusted plan and successful launches.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a corporate tax department, public accounting, or technology consulting.
• Global or multi-country indirect tax implementation experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing Marketplace Facilitator laws across jurisdictions.
• Program or project management across multiple dependent engineering teams, including building plans, milestones, and dependency maps.
• Direct engagement with engineering teams on product development; ability to read a technical design document and assess feasibility.
• Experience defining testing and monitoring strategies for systems where correctness matters.
• Strong analytical skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented with big-picture thinking.
• Comfort operating without formal authority in a highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

• Author tax requirements and acceptance criteria that engineers build against and that hold up under audit.
• Define scope, sequencing and critical path for integrations and drive what ships when.
• Maintain the risk register and elevate with a recommended action.
• Coordinate across Tax, Product, Engineering and Data to keep the program aligned and landed.
• Lead launch readiness with testing, monitoring, runbooks, go/no-go and rollback criteria.
• Influence roadmaps and defend priorities across eight other teams.
