Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Manager, Tax Technology to lead the tax platform and business projects across the US East Coast. The role partners with Tax Engineering, TAP, and Tax Product to translate tax requirements into functional configurations and ensure successful tax platform launches.

Remote-friendly within the US, with East Coast base to accommodate time zones. You will drive end-to-end delivery of tax features, new verticals, and legislative changes, leveraging Vertex and ERP integrations

Qualifications

6+ years of indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience.
Strong knowledge of US sales and use tax and GST/HST/PST across Canada and AU/NZ.
Hands-on experience configuring Vertex O Series.
Experience configuring ERP tax integration with Vertex (e.g. NetSuite).
Ability to translate business and tax requirements into functional system requirements.
Engagement with engineering teams on tax system design and launches.
Experience with SQL or Snowflake for data analysis.
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI) and reading XML/JSON logs.

Responsibilities

Lead tax platform and business projects on the DoorDash platform, including new launches and legislative changes.
Translate business and tax requirements into functional system requirements for configuration and delivery.
Review BRDs/PRDs/TDDs for tax implications and provide feedback to Tax Engineering.
Define testing requirements and oversee end-to-end validation across multiple phases.
Ensure data flows from upstream systems through Vertex to downstream reporting.
