DoorDash is seeking a Manager, Tax Technology to lead the tax platform and business projects across the DoorDash Tax Team. You will translate tax requirements into functional specs, configure and test tax engine integrations, and drive end-to-end delivery for new verticals, merchants, and partnerships.

You will work with Tax Engineering, TAP, and Product, review design docs, and ensure readiness for production releases while coordinating with global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing or configuring Vertex O Series.
• Hands-on ERP tax integration experience (e.g. NetSuite) with Vertex.
• Ability to translate business and tax requirements into functional system requirements.
• Direct engagement with engineering teams on tax system design and launches.
• Understanding tax data flow from upstream systems through tax engine to reporting.
• Experience with cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
• Experience with productivity tools (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides; Monday.com, JIRA).
• Experience using SQL or Snowflake for data self-serve or testing.
• Experience with API testing tools and reading XML/JSON logs.

Responsabilités

• Lead tax platform and business projects on the DoorDash platform.
• Translate business and tax requirements into functional requirements for configuration, testing and delivery.
• Review BRDs, PRDs, and TDDs for tax-system implications and provide tax expertise.
• Define testing requirements and oversee unit/integration/E2E/shadow/post-launch tests.
• Trace tax data flow from upstream to Vertex and reporting, flag gaps or risks.
• Validate production readiness and document post-launch lessons learned.
• Bridge non-tax stakeholders with tax technology teams.
• Collaborate with US and Mexico peers and offshore team members.
