Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Technology Implementations to own the end-to-end plan across Tax, Product, Engineering and Data for indirect tax on transactions. You’ll translate tax requirements into actionable engineering work, define scope, sequencing and acceptance criteria, and drive cross‑brand, multi‑jurisdiction initiatives.

You’ll lead a team, influence eight other teams' roadmaps, and ensure testing, rollout, and runbooks are in place.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a corporate tax department, public accounting, or technology consulting.
• Global or multi-country indirect tax implementation experience, including non-US regimes.
• Hands-on experience implementing Marketplace Facilitator laws across jurisdictions.
• Program or project management across multiple dependent engineering teams, including milestones and dependencies.
• Direct engagement with engineering teams on product development with knowledge of software development processes.
• Ability to read a technical design document and assess its viability.
• Experience defining testing and monitoring strategies for systems where correctness matters.
• Strong analytical skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, able to balance big picture and specifics.
• Comfort operating without formal authority in a highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo while maintaining partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Hold the entire picture and ensure successful delivery across domains.
• Provide visibility across the business, solving complex problems with engineering and non-engineering partners.
• Own an end-to-end program with real consequences and scope.
• Work closely with engineers to shape design decisions.
• Build the connective tissue for a program spanning three brands and multiple jurisdictions.
• Leverage Claude tooling and a tax data mart to speed up analysis, planning, and daily operations.
• Grow a team and function that is still being defined.
