Qualifications

• 6+ years of indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience.
• US sales and use tax knowledge; Canada GST/HST/PST and ANZ GST familiarity.
• Hands-on Vertex O Series configuration and review.
• ERP tax integration experience (e.g., NetSuite) with Vertex.
• Translate requirements into functional system specs; review design docs.
• Engage with engineering teams on tax-system launches and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax platform and business projects on the DoorDash platform (new launches, changes).
• Gather requirements from TAP, Tax Product, and stakeholders; translate to functional specs.
• Review BRDs, PRDs, TDDs for tax-system implications; provide tax expertise.
• Define testing requirements and oversee unit, integration, E2E, and post-launch tests.
• Trace tax data from upstream to Vertex and downstream reporting; flag gaps.
• Ensure production readiness and document post-launch lessons learned.
• Serve as a bridge between non-tax tech stakeholders and tax technology teams.
• Collaborate with US and Mexico peers and offshore team members for workload and knowledge transfer.
