Job summary

Berkheimer Tax Innovations in Allentown, PA seeks a Customer Support Clerk to join the Bangor, PA office. The role starts on-site with a six-month in-office training period, then transitions to hybrid work (office/home) with occasional in-office rotations.

Responsibilities include assisting taxpayers in person and by phone, processing tax forms, and maintaining accounts, while delivering friendly, accurate service. Prior experience is not required; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0 - 6 months related experience or training.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred but not required.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills; learn multiple tax systems/databases.
• Ability to handle difficult customer interactions professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• In-Person Assistance: provide face-to-face support and answer questions.
• Phone Support: handle incoming calls about tax accounts and payments.
• Tax Form Processing: process forms and post payments to accounts.
• Account Maintenance: review, reconcile, and update accounts.
