Job summary

UHY is seeking a Tax Principal in the United States (Iowa) to lead and grow the tax practice. You will provide strategic guidance, manage high-level client relationships, and shape innovative tax strategies that align with client objectives and industry trends.

You will oversee tax strategy, engagement progress, budgets, and deadlines while mentoring a team of tax professionals and driving process improvements to elevate client satisfaction and firm performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA license is required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in tax.
• 8+ years of progressive tax leadership experience in a CPA firm or related professional service environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop cutting-edge tax planning strategies leveraging industry insights and regulatory expertise.
• Provide insights in tax optimization, risk management, and emerging tax trends.
• Review and oversee preparation of tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and manage tax filing deadlines and extensions to ensure timely submissions.
• Lead client meetings, nurture high-level relationships, and develop tailored tax strategies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

CPA license

10+ years of relevant experience

8+ years of progressive tax leadership experience in a CPA firm or related professional service environment
