Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is hiring TurboTax - Local Service Experts to provide on-site tax preparation and expert advisory at a TurboTax location in the United States.

You will work with a team to serve in-person and virtual clients, deliver end-to-end tax solutions, and expand the local client base through outreach and partnerships. You will collaborate with a network of specialists in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning to ensure a comprehensive financial picture for each client and drive

Qualifications

• EA/CPA or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active PTIN as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software; Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including compliance training, proficiency-based up-skilling, cross-training of other products or offerings.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms and use your name/picture for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content for your community.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Utilize resources such as government websites, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language.
• Embod a community ambassador mindset to actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax.
• Identify opportunities to introduce clients to complementary services such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients' complete financial picture and connect them with Intuit solutions.
