Job summary

Intuit Careers is seeking motivated individuals to join our TurboTax Local Service Expert team in a TurboTax location across the United States. This on-site role focuses on full-service tax preparation, client advisory, and strong local community engagement.

You will work with a team of tax professionals, serve in-person and virtual clients, and collaborate with specialists across bookkeeping, payroll and financial planning.

Qualifications

• EA/CPA/Attorney with strong tax prep experience and knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal/state 1040 tax returns per season using professional tax software.
• Willing to upskill into bookkeeping, payroll, or advisory with training by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax location, 20+ hours/week, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time.
• Must complete all training and compliance requirements; uniforms provided and marketing participation expected.
• Willing to wear Intuit uniforms and use your name/picture for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation for TurboTax clients, including simple to complex tax situations.
• Lead discovery sessions to identify deductions, minimize liabilities, maximize refunds, and plan for future taxes.
• Connect clients with the Intuit ecosystem (bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, Credit Karma).
• Grow a local client base through outreach, events, referrals, and partnerships with TurboTax marketing support.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience in person and via Intuit video tools.
• Engage with clients to turn one-time engagements into long-term relationships.
• Represent TurboTax as a local ambassador and drive community engagement and brand awareness.
