Job summary

Wesco’s Centralized Customer Care team in Sacramento is seeking a Specialist - Customer Care to help resolve tariff invoice discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier invoices, and to support Accounts Payable with resolution and offsetting transactions.

The role emphasizes research, collaboration with Sales, Operations, Inventory Management, and AP, and requires strong attention to detail, communication, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year of related experience required; 3 years preferred.
• Experience with Oracle or other large financial systems preferred.
• Accounting knowledge is preferred, including basic financial statements and general ledger concepts.
• Strong Excel skills are preferred.
• Must manage time effectively and prioritize issues.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Proficient with MS Word and email.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve tariff invoice discrepancies with little supervision.
• Process offsetting transactions to ensure complete resolution (e.g., inventory cost adjustments).
• Serve as tariff resolution subject matter expert for Sales and Operations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Inventory Management, and Accounts Payable to resolve tariff issues.
• Organize and manage large volumes of discrepancies across multiple branches and escalate as needed.
• Support inventory transaction activities including scrap disposition, branch transfers, write-offs, and adjustments.
