Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is hiring a Tapping Machine Operator for the Montpelier, IN facility. The role is 3rd shift (10pm–6am) with training on the 1st shift. The pay starts at $22.60 per hour plus a 7% shift differential.

You will start and monitor the tapping machine, gauge and inspect parts, record data on SPC charts, and move tubs with a pallet jack. Overtime may be required. We value accuracy, strong reading/writing skills, and the ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Mathematical ability and practical application of percentages and ratios.
• Ability to read and write, effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Starts machine and observes operation, making adjustments as needed.
• Gauging and checking parts for conformance to specifications.
• Record and plot on SPC charts
• Record production on daily sheet
• Operate PIV and electric pallet jack to move tubs and load machines
• Must be able to work overtime
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
