Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Tapping Machine Operator for the Montpelier, IN campus on the 3rd shift (10pm-6am) with training on the 1st shift. The role offers $22.60 per hour plus a 7% shift differential and growth opportunities in a global manufacturing environment.

You will start/monitor machines, check parts, record data, and move materials with a pallet jack, while working overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work overtime.
• Mathematical ability and practical application of percentages and ratios.
• Ability to read and write, effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand written, verbal or diagrammatical form of instructions.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach.
• Ability to lift and/or carry 5-25 pounds regularly and occasionally 25-65 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Starts machine and observes operation, making adjustments as needed.
• Gauging and checking parts for each catch pan, for conformance to specifications.
• Record and plot on SPC charts.
• Record production on daily sheet.
• Operate PIV and electric pallet jack to move tubs and load machines.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
