Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Montpelier, IN is seeking a Machine Operator to work on cold forming lines, operating and troubleshooting equipment to produce high‑quality parts. This is a 3rd shift (10:00PM–6:00AM) position with a $24/hour base rate plus shift differential.

The role requires operating multiple machines, performing adjustments, and following quality checks. You will handle dies, inserts, and material movement, with overtime as needed and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills to enter data and look up information.
• Background in mechanical work is a plus.
• Ability to read measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Supply own tools and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple cold forming and parts forming machines.
• Make adjustments and replacements to maintain quality parts.
• Conduct catch pan quality checks.
• Manage separating dies and inserts.
• Move scrap and finished parts from machinery.
• Troubleshoot production issues on the machine.
• Operate forklift/PIV to move tubs and raw material as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
