Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Punch Press Setup/Operator for the Montpelier, IN facility on the 3rd shift (10pm-6am). The role involves operating a punch press, reading micrometers and calipers, and completing die sets to ensure quality parts. Overtime may be required.

Training on 1st shift is provided. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with basic math and blueprint reading skills. You will move steel, scrap, and finished parts, use PIV to deliver materials, and operate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge and ability.
• Drive and operate forklift.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Read blueprints.
• Basic mathematical understanding.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press.
• Reads measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Performs adjustment and replacement to maintain a quality product.
• Complete all die set ups in press.
• Load steel; moves scrap and finished parts from machinery.
• Operates PIV to deliver tubs and raw material to machinery.
• Utilize cranes to move steel throughout department.
• Operates die cart to load/unload and transport dies.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
