Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon in New York is hiring Tanning Consultants to guide clients through tanning options and help them achieve their ideal glow. You’ll represent the brand, deliver positive experiences, and support long-term growth within the company in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Open to both full-time and part-time roles, you’ll assess skin types, explain the process, and upsell lotions and products while maintaining a warm, inviting salon environment and accurate

Qualifications

• Positive, outgoing, and passionate about the tanning and beauty industry.
• High school graduates (or equivalent).
• At least 18 years old.
• Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing.
• Experienced in customer service or sales (preferred).
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines.
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed.
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs.
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits.
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history.
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards.
